Violence in the home affects thousands of employees every day. It decreases productivity and increases healthcare costs and absenteeism. Employers have a unique opportunity to provide tools, assistance and resources for employees who need them.  In this session, attendees will:

  • Hear from the Executive Director of a local domestic violence agency will speak about Domestic Violence Basics (What is it, how to recognize it, what to do, and who can help).
  • Hear from a Survivor as she tells her personal story about how her domestic violence situation affected her in the workplace.

Facilitators will be:
Jill Zinckgraf, MPA is currently the Executive Director of the Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County and she is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault as the Treasurer. 

Dennis Butler, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR is currently an HR Consultant and the former Chief HR & Compliance Officer for the Diocese of Paterson and the former VP, Associate Relations at Liz Claiborne Inc. where he developed and implemented policies, procedures and protocols for raising awareness of, and responding to, domestic violence as an issue in the workplace.

Howard Vex, Esq. is the Founding Partner of Vex Law, LLC, a boutique labor and employment law firm in Parsippany.
